Privacy Policy
Last updated: · fabinhobr2004@gmail.com
This policy explains what information is processed when you visit TastyFlavors, why, and what rights you have. TastyFlavors is a reading-only food blog: there are no user accounts, comment forms, advertising or analytics on this site.
1. Who is responsible
TastyFlavors is responsible for this website. For any privacy question or request, contact us at fabinhobr2004@gmail.com.
2. Data processed technically when you visit
When you load a page, your browser sends standard technical data to the servers that deliver the site: IP address, date and time, requested page, browser type and similar request information. Our hosting and content-delivery providers process this data to serve the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse. We do not use it to build profiles of visitors.
3. Recipes and images (database provider)
Posts and recipe cover images are stored with Supabase, a database and file-storage provider. When you read a post, your browser or our server requests that content from Supabase, which receives the technical request data described above. No account or personal profile is created.
4. Web fonts
Our typography is loaded from Google Fonts (Google LLC). To deliver the fonts, your browser connects to Google servers, which receive your IP address and browser information. You can block these requests in your browser; the site will then use fallback fonts.
5. Cookies & local storage
TastyFlavors does not set advertising or analytics cookies. We only use your browser's local storage for functional preferences that stay on your device and are never sent to us:
- lang — your chosen language (English or Spanish).
- theme — light or dark mode.
- Recipe checklists — which ingredients or steps you ticked on a recipe page.
These entries are necessary for the features you use and do not require consent. You can delete them at any time by clearing your browser's site data. Analytics and advertising are not active. If we ever add them, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before any optional technology runs.
6. Email contact
If you email us, we process your email address, name (if provided) and the content of your message only to answer you and handle corrections or requests. Your email provider and ours process the message to deliver it.
7. Legal basis
Where the GDPR applies, technical delivery and security rely on our legitimate interest in operating a safe website (Art. 6(1)(f)); storing your preferences is strictly necessary for the functions you request; answering your messages relies on your request and our legitimate interest. If we ever introduce optional technologies, they would rely on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
8. Retention
Technical logs are kept by our providers according to their own retention policies. Emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up. Local storage entries remain on your device until you clear them.
9. International transfers
Some providers (for example hosting, Supabase and Google) may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, such transfers rely on safeguards offered by those providers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. You can also ask us to correct or remove content that concerns you. Write to us and we will respond as required by applicable law.
11. External links
Posts may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; please read their own policies.
12. Security
The site is served over encrypted connections and we use reputable providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Children
TastyFlavors is a general-audience blog and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
